Your distorted perceptions produce a dense cover over miracle impulses, making it hard for them to reach your own awareness. The confusion of miracle impulses with physical impulses is a major perceptual distortion. Physical impulses are misdirected miracle impulses. All real pleasure comes from doing God's Will. This is because not doing it is a denial of Self. Denial of Self results in illusions, while correction of the error brings release from it. Do not deceive yourself into believing that you can relate in peace to God or to your brothers with anything external. (ACIM~ T-1.1)
You know what is so fun? I have been playing in the yummy freshness of this moment now. Old insights are circling back up in my mind and life with renewed aliveness and much more depth.
Let me give an example. Recently, I have been corresponding with an amazing woman; teacher of God and all around inspiring being. We’ve been addressing addiction and food/body addiction in particular. Years ago, in the beginning of my healing with A Course in Miracles, I was graced with freedom the insanity of an upside-down relationship with my body, eating and food. And actually with yours as well, I compared myself with everyone I met. That craziness was lifted and I was able to focus on the business of healing my mind.
Finding what did work for me was, at times, an absolute miracle. I would walk into a book store and find myself picking up a book that I hadn’t known I came for and no recollection as to what I had come there for in the first place. I had a sense of being in the right place at the right time that was poignant and I would buy the book without question.
Or I would meet someone that would lead to a conversation about freedom and addiction and food and weight and I would hear myself speaking from a place of true gratitude. Often in those times, if there was a particular struggle I was having with my body or cravings, as we began communicating, in that sincere request for a true answer, a specific one to my specific issue would unfold during the conversation.
I discovered quite rapidly that the more I shared my experience with healing and freedom from the body/food monkey around my neck, the less I had experienced cravings and body judgments.
So, being the junky I am, I started facilitating groups and individuals in upholding a single-pointed spiritual foundation as core sustenance, as a replacement for the obsessive focus of a body/food addiction.
I saw how my unhealed mind, having obsessed about my problems with food and weight and how to get the perfect body and what to eat, how to keep from eating too much, what combination of foods, how to work out and how often, accompanied with a commitment to feeling ashamed and guilty and deserving of punishment, yet feeling like a total victim, helpless to change, hopeless in the face of societal requirement of lovability, had kept me exactly where I was. My judgments and beliefs had made me the person I saw myself as: weak, unlovable, unworthy, a waste of skin, taking up room that a more deserving person should have. I was wrong… that is all.
A fundamental principle in A Course in Miracles is that ideas leave not their source and that ideas increase when they are given away. We, being God’s Idea, remain in Him as He extends His love as Son. We are that Son; that very same Love. We therefore must allow our love to extend creation in order to know our Self.
We’ve all had so much appreciation for some miracle in our life that we couldn’t wait to share with everyone.
That’s how I felt. That’s how I feel, now. It’s the reason I blog.
I love God. I love Jesus. I love A Course in Miracles. I love you, my one Self.
So anyway, I am again finding myself with this awesome opportunity to share the miracle down the body/food addiction avenue.
You know we all come to A Course in Miracles with body addictions. We mistake them for ourselves. We are wrong. That is all.
The course turns us around and points us smack in front of our mind. We see without question that it is or identification with a false identity, in a life/death, duality based world in our mind that is the source of our pain. It trains us in a systematic way to dispel every belief you ever believed to be true, as false.
We see that our world is one of perception, but that everything that feel good comes from somewhere beyond perception, never from the thing or circumstance itself.
We come to see that learning to forgive is our most treasured tool in the reversal of a thought system based in fear back to the source of our being~ love.
Peace is the result of emptying our entire arsenal of fear thoughts onto the touchstone of forgiveness.
We are born anew.
“Let us be still an instant, and forget all things we ever learned, all thoughts we had, and every preconception that we hold of what things mean, and what their purpose is. Let us remember not our own ideas of what the world is for. We do not know. Let every image held of anyone be loosened from our minds and swept away. Be innocent of judgment, unaware of any thoughts of evil or of good that ever crossed your mind of anyone. Now do you know him not. But you are free to learn of him, and learn of him anew. Now is he born again to you, and you are born again to him, without the past that sentenced him to die, and you with him. Now is he free to live, as you are free, because an ancient learning passed away, and left a place for truth to be reborn.” (T-31.1)
I am going to be writing more about the healing of body appetites. It might be with this yummy woman, Lisa, I was talking about. A site about this is her idea. I am interested to see what comes forward. Grace has shown me that body appetites are misdirected miracle impulses. That in recognition of this fact, I open to act miraculously instead of ‘feed the need’,and look for magic soulions; to enliven and inspire rather than shut-off and separate into the dirge of the pleasure-pain syndrome.

Love is always transmitting: The Holy Spirit within our minds is the pure translator-station.
Love is. Love is the nucleus. God is Love. Love is where God is. God is where Love is. I am where God is. I am where Love is. Love is where I am. I am love.
Love is not something extra we add to a situation or relationship we bring the situation or relationship into the love that we are.
Love has its way; every moment of everyday. It is relentless with its presence. It compels all with in its frequency. Its reaches are limitless; giving all to all, inexhaustibly.
Upon awaking, there is Love, already, burning life in heart and belly, delivering light to mind and sight to eyes.
Love expands at the speed of light, energy moving limbs and actions into the original day within and before, reaching out touching everyone in mind and path.
I am tuned-in. Withdrawing belief in fear in favor of Love, zeros one into Love’s frequency. Withdrawing belief in illusions in favor of truth through the systematic mind training by the Holy Spirit is intended for this direct experience of God, of Love, of Heaven, Now. Here’s where I like to operate; at the frequency of love. Which is the same frequency Jesus can be found. And incidentally, it is where I find you, my brothers.

God Love is the constant of my life. I feel it even when I misplace myself in my life and play god with plans and guilt, I feel His Love deep within tugging in my sleeve, pulling me back home. This is the Holy Spirit, awaiting with a smile behind my craziness, a sane and clear perspective to the insanity I am here to forgive… reminding me of my purpose.
I was sitting with Jesus in my meditation this morning. I was lifted from my self in the frequency of wholehearted gratitude for this unending Love and how it is always reaching me exactly where I’m at…
I love A Course in Miracles! It has given me the context for sanity in the mixed-up, insane world, where nothing has ever really made sense to me.
From moment one, word one, the Course instantaneously called-up the memory of truth within my mind, and though at the time I first began my relationship with the Course, and I couldn’t wrap my mind around what it was that was so compelling, I was drawn unthinkingly ~ It was my first experience of not trying to fit what I was experiencing into one of my ready-made constructs… I intrinsically knew it was something entirely the opposite of everything I was familiar with. It was like landing in a parallel universe where all the symbols are the same but the meanings~ well, had meaning… I recognized the Voice for God woven into the concepts and applications, as I recognize that Voice within my right-mind.
Then a few years ago in time, which has now collapsed in on itself, as it seems that it was going on all along, I fell madly in love with Jesus! I’m not really sure how it happened. I didn’t seem to be wired-up for the holy-roller, born-again, ‘Jesus love’s you’ stuff.
Yet, here I am: born again, rockin &rollin’ with holy brotherhood of saviors of the world, and hand in hand with Jesus.
Well I am attempting the impossible here to speak of what is actually unspeakable appreciation to Jesus for his unwavering companionship. Yet I am so lifted and inspired that the belly of the share within me, beckons to be expressed. Honored by his living, visible, expression of love through A Course in Miracles, the perfect guidance inward to the Voice we share with God and the eternal love that sustains us as One, I am devoted to his ministry, which is my own.

Here’s what he states clearly in the Clarification of Terms in response to our ego based thought system:
“Your questions have no answer, being made to still God's Voice, which asks of everyone one question only: "Are you ready yet to help Me save the world?" Ask this instead of what the ego is, and you will see a sudden brightness cover up the world the ego made. No miracle is now withheld from anyone. The world is saved from what you thought it was. And what it is, is wholly uncondemned and wholly pure.”

Honestly, after attempting things, ‘my way’, getting no closer to happiness, and then joining with Jesus and having my heart and mind cracked wide open to Love’s light, I can say without reservation, this is my bliss! It is my one purpose which I joyously fulfill through forgiveness and appreciation! You are my one self. How can I be helpful?
Let’s join in the stillness born of innocent perception and ask candidly; ‘Am I ready? Are we ready to stand in singularity for God? Are we ready to join the mighty companions as saviors of the world? Are we willing to lay aside all our own ideas and come with open hearts and empty hands in order to experience the peace and joy of God? Are we willing to teach only love and know that love is ours and we are love?

I love God. I am learning to hear only His Voice. It’s like listening through a translator for the language of tongues. So everything my brother’s say is some expression of love… My job is to listen only for that.
When the goal of purpose is singular, which is God, it re-establishes the premise within the mind. Then everything shifts on its axis. The entire experience of the dream becomes a watching from mind, an experience as the dreamer of the dream. And though bodies and things animate within the dream, one is awake to the fact of being the dreamer. As consistency of choice remains steady, each encounter within the dream is brought into the touchstone of truth where it’s assimilation into the whole of love, is accepted as inevitable.
One can only see from the premise assigned by God. It is NOW! It is only Now where God speaks to His Son though the Holy Spirit within mind. It is the Eternal Now; outside the construct of time and space, where communication has never ceased... NOW: unending present peace ~ the presence of God ~ where stillness and quiet are the language of the day and calm extends…forever, now. It speaks the experience of certainty already completed ~ of love all encompassing… where stresses “need not be”…

As various needs and problems seem to arise throughout the day, we see our special flavor of attachments and aversions, which merely are an attempt to disguise the underlying belief in scarcity. When tuned to the Holy Spirit frequency, those specialties then become the backdrop to forgive; shine the light and happily fulfill the function given us by God.
Now, this can appear much sketchier than I am making out, I know. The ego puts out a diverse procession of requirements (Hierarchy of needs). It’s trick and slight of hand is to get you to look without at what it is displaying, so you’ll loose your perspective of premise and forget you’re not really here and that the seeming problem appearing is for the purpose of remembering where the solution lies; within the mind, with the Holy Spirit’s perception of abundance inherent in who we are.
As we consistently choose His guidance and Purpose all specific needs are resolved, often without our even realizing it at the time. The idea of needs eventually dissolves into a single awareness of love, as all the tentacles of scarcity are released and forgiven.
Everything that appears on the stage of life has but one origin. It is an authority issue. It is not past. The past is, well, past. It is nowhere. The problem is a present decision to usurp the power of God. It is the present decision to author oneself. It is merely confusion of identity and has absolutely
nothing to do with the myriad forms and issues that seem so important to solve in the world.
We are training our minds to determinately look and listen within, to fine-tune to the Voice of Reality; to trust, to love, to truth… It is totally opposite in every way to the way the ego has it hard-wired. But the Holy Spirit will systematically rewire the system according to our willingness and trust. Subsequently, we learn to rely only on the truly reliable. And God’s Will is what is reliable. We come to recognize our total dependence on God with infinite gratitude fuelling our being.
